DOG SAFETY VISITS
SitStayRead Dog Safety Visits bring two Book Buddies, one Dog Team, and a SitStayRead Program Leader into the classroom to teach students how to be safe around dogs, building bonds and confidence. This is a learning service provided for a fee.
During this single, one-hour visit, the Program Leader engages the classroom in a read-aloud and group discussions about interacting with stray and family dogs.
After the discussion students participate in a story writing/drawing activity and engage one-on-one with the Dog Team to practice animal safety.
